FAQ

You can download public Facebook videos (watch?v=, /videos/), Reels (/reel/), and photos. The post must be from a public profile or page — private posts require login and cannot be accessed without credentials.

FBGrab supports all standard Facebook post URLs: facebook.com/watch?v=, facebook.com/reel/, facebook.com/[page]/videos/, facebook.com/photo?fbid=, facebook.com/share/v/, facebook.com/share/r/, and short fb.watch/ links.

Facebook stores most videos in two versions: a high-definition stream and a standard-definition stream. FBGrab detects and presents both when available. Choose HD for the best quality, or SD for a smaller file size.

Common causes: (1) The account or post is private. (2) The post was deleted. (3) Facebook is temporarily rate-limiting server requests — wait 30 seconds and retry. (4) The URL is a live video or Stories, which are not supported. Make sure you're copying the full post link from the Share menu.

Downloading for personal, offline viewing is generally acceptable. Republishing or redistributing someone else's content without permission may infringe their copyright. Always credit original creators and use content responsibly.
